Nigerian Free Plastic Surgery For The Less Privileged

BEARS,(Body Enhancement Annual Reconstructive Surgery), Foundation, Nigeria’s first Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) using plastic surgery and other specialties to correct deformities in the less privileged, has announced its plan for a free national medical service in October this year.

Founder/Chairman of BEARS, Miss Modupe Ozolua, said in Lagos that the programme was particularly meant to give indigent people access to expert medical services from foreign and home-based specialists.

She explained that the 36 states of the federation would be divided into Northern and Southern sections and each would have a comprehensive medical team attending to it.
