‘Dr Botch’ is Sued Over Face-Lift Death

THE family of an Irishwoman who died after a face-lift operation in New York last year has filed a legal suit against the plastic surgeon who carried it out.

Liam Cregan, from Croom in Limerick, has accused Michael Evan Sachs, the doctor who operated on his wife, Kay, of “negligence, carelessness and gross indifference”.

His case, filed on December 15 in the state supreme court in Manhattan, also names Dr Madhavrao Subbarao, an anaesthesiologist, and claims both doctors failed the mother-of-two at every step of the procedure.

Cregan confirmed this weekend that he has hired a New York law firm that specialises in multi-million-dollar medical malpractice claims.
